The short version: we collect as little as possible. You can read every article without an account, and we never sell your information. The site may show ads from Google AdSense, which uses cookies. When you buy a guide, payment is handled by our checkout partner (Gumroad or Lemon Squeezy), not by us.

Who we are
This website, mamadidyouknow.com, is run by Mama, did you know? (“we”, “us”). We publish research-backed information for parents of babies and toddlers and sell the Mind Series guides. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at [email protected].
What we collect, and why
When you read the website
Like every website, our servers receive basic technical information when your browser requests a page: your IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page, and the date and time. Our web host and Cloudflare (our security and content delivery provider) use this to deliver pages, keep the site secure, and block attacks and spam. Server logs are kept only for a limited period for these purposes.
To understand which articles are useful, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It counts page views and general information (such as country and device type) without cookies, without fingerprinting, and without following you to other websites.
When you buy a guide
Our guides are sold through Gumroad and Lemon Squeezy, which act as the reseller and merchant of record for each order. When you click a buy button, the checkout opens (in a window on our page, or on gumroad.com or lemonsqueezy.com) and that service collects the information needed to complete your order, such as your email address, payment details, and billing address. It processes your payment, handles any sales tax or VAT, and delivers your download. We receive your name, email address, what you bought, the price paid, and your country, so we can deliver your purchase, help with problems, and keep tax and accounting records. We never see or store your full card number.
Their own privacy policies (Gumroad, Lemon Squeezy) apply to the information it collects, including any cookies its checkout uses.
When you contact us
If you message us (for example on Instagram or by replying to an order receipt), we use what you send only to reply and help you, and keep it only as long as needed for that.
If you join our email list
If we offer an email newsletter and you choose to subscribe, we collect your email address (and anything else the form asks for, which will always be optional) to send you the emails you asked for. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and we’ll name the email service we use on the signup form and in this policy.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell or rent your personal information.
- We don’t run social-media tracking pixels on this website.
- We don’t ask for, or want, health information about you or your child. Please don’t send us medical details; for health questions, talk to your pediatrician.
- We don’t offer accounts or comments on this website.
Advertising
We use Google AdSense to show ads, which helps keep our articles free. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google’s Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info/choices (or youronlinechoices.eu in Europe).
- Learn more in How Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google’s advertising policies.
- Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalized ads or advertising cookies are used, through a Google-certified consent message. You can change your choice at any time.
Our content is written for adults. We ask Google not to target ads at children.
Cookies
Some cookies are strictly necessary, and others are used for advertising. They may be set by:
- Cloudflare, for security (for example, to tell people apart from malicious bots).
- Google and its advertising partners, to show and measure ads (see “Advertising” below).
- Gumroad or Lemon Squeezy, when you open a checkout, to process your order.
- WordPress, only for site administrators who log in.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, though checkout may not.

Some of these providers are based in, or process data in, the United States and other countries. Where the law requires it, these transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the providers’ standard contractual clauses or data privacy framework certifications.
How long we keep information
- Purchase records: as long as required for tax and accounting law (often 6 to 10 years, depending on the country).
- Messages you send us: only as long as needed to help you.
- Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
- Server and security logs: for a short, limited period.
Our legal reasons for using your information
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, we rely on: performing a contract (delivering a guide you bought); legal obligations (tax and accounting records); legitimate interests (keeping the site secure, understanding which articles help parents, answering your messages); and consent (newsletter emails, which you can withdraw at any time).
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy
- ask us to correct or delete it
- object to or limit how we use it, or withdraw consent
- receive your data in a portable format
- complain to your local data protection authority
California residents: we do not sell personal information. Advertising cookies set by Google may count as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CCPA/CPRA; you can opt out of personalized ads at any time using the links in the Advertising section. We won’t treat you differently for exercising your rights. To make any request, email [email protected]. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we’ll respond within the time the law requires.
Children’s privacy
Our content is written for parents and caregivers. The website is not directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and protected by Cloudflare. Payments are handled entirely by Gumroad or Lemon Squeezy. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep the information we hold to a minimum and protect access to it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information (for example, if we add analytics, a newsletter provider, or new advertising partners), we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
Questions about your privacy? Email [email protected]. For medical questions about your child, please contact your pediatrician; we can’t give medical advice.
